A Sealcoating Specialist, Not a Quota to Hit

Wichita Sealcoating was founded in 2018 by Travis Kowalski, who spent six years leading crews for a national sealcoating franchise before deciding to go out on his own. What pushed him out wasn't the work — it was watching franchise quotas push crews to thin out the sealer, skip crack prep, and coat lots in weather that wouldn't let the material cure properly, just to hit a daily job count. Travis built this company around the opposite approach: full-strength sealer, proper coat counts, and jobs scheduled around Kansas weather instead of a route sheet.

Nathan Ruiz leads field operations and handles most of the company's crack-filling and surface-prep work. Paige Sorensen manages scheduling and client accounts, and spends as much time watching the weather forecast as the job calendar.
